Jermel Lewis is the owner and founder of Oak City Contracting, a roofing and exterior renovation company serving Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, and the greater Triangle area.

After years of working in the construction and roofing industry, Jermel saw a consistent problem: too many homeowners were left frustrated by poor communication, unreliable contractors, unclear expectations, and workmanship that did not match the promise. In October 2020, after encouragement from clients who trusted his work and approach, he founded Oak City Contracting to raise the standard.

Jermel built Oak City Contracting around a simple belief: a contractor should make the process easier, not harder. Every project should be handled with clear communication, honest guidance, quality workmanship, and respect for the home. Whether helping a homeowner understand a roof leak, guiding a client through an insurance scope, or managing a full roof or siding replacement, Jermel’s goal is to provide solutions that protect the property long after the work is complete.

Today, Oak City Contracting focuses on roofing, siding, gutters, storm damage inspections, and exterior renovation services for homeowners, realtors, property managers, and businesses throughout the Triangle. The company’s work is backed by a commitment to customer care, durable materials, and a process designed to give clients confidence from the first inspection to the final walkthrough.

For Jermel, the mission is bigger than completing projects. It is about restoring trust in the contractor-client relationship and proving that professionalism, craftsmanship, and accountability still matter.
